RDO Equipment Precision Ag Intern – Autonomy and Machine Learning in Pasco, Washington
Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Precision Agriculture Intern specializing in Autonomy and Machine Learning. This role is designed for individuals passionate about advancing agricultural technology and providing exceptional support to both internal and external customers. The intern will split their time between direct field support for autonomous tractors and See & Spray sprayers and supporting our customers that call into the Ag support center.
$19 – $22 / hour
Specific Duties Include:
Assist in the deployment, training and maintenance of autonomous machines and See & Spray Sprayers for internal and external customers.
Provide hands-on support for See and Spray technology.
Collaborate with customers in the field to troubleshoot and optimize the performance of autonomous agricultural equipment.
Deliver exceptional phone support to agricultural customers, including those in the field and internal employees within our stores.
Work with a team of peers to utilize knowledge and resources to answer customer inquiries and resolve issues related to agricultural equipment operations.
Document customer interactions and solutions to build a comprehensive knowledge base for future reference.
Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Job Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Business, AI, Autonomy or a related field. Ideal candidate would be in their junior year of college.
Availability between March – November with the potential to extend a successful internship.
Willingness to learn autonomy and machine learning principles and their applications in agriculture.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with John Deere equipment and agricultural practices is a plus but not required.
