KBR is seeking a highly qualified MQ-4 Triton Tactical Coordinator (TACCO) to join our Team. This position supports tasking at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) for the VX-20 Test Squadron and Triton ITT at Patuxent River, MD.
As part of the world’s largest independent flight test organization, supporting both US Government and commercial agencies, you will be joining a highly talented and experienced aircrew services team that has provided over 40 continuous years of Test Aircrew support for NAVAIR. As a long-term incumbent and leader in test aircrew expertise, the selected applicant will work within the VX-20 environment composed of government, military, contractor, and industry personnel while supporting flight test. This position serves as an MQ-4 TACCO and will provide all aspects of project officer duties for the MQ-4 test program.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) TACCO/NFO functions during developmental test and operational flight of Unmanned Aircraft supporting the Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance Aircraft community in developing the doctrine, the concepts of operations (CONOPS), and the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) needed to integrate the MQ-4 into routine worldwide Fleet operations.
Supports mission planning, develop test procedures, conduct mission systems lab, ground, and flight testing, perform data analysis, and prepare test reports.
Testing will be accomplished at NAWCAD Patuxent River MD, and at other contractor and DoD facilities and could include test card development, flight briefings, test execution, post event support, test reporting and deficiency reporting.
Plan and execute tests in accordance with FAA and ICAO procedures and prepare flight test documentation. Coordinate and assist in the execution of ground and flight test events.
Works in a rapidly changing developmental flight test environment.
Basic Qualifications:
Education:
- Requires a Bachelor of Science degree
Experience:
At least 7 years of related experience, including 3 or more years of experience in military test and evaluation.
Must have the ability to direct test aircraft operations planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting for the MQ-4.
Must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
Flight Hours/Certifications/Designations Required:
A minimum of 500 flight hours in fixed/rotary/unmanned aircraft.
A minimum of 100 hours in UAS Group 4/5 aircraft
Must be able to maintain an FAA Class II medical certificate
Individuals must be able to pass the physical and training qualification requirements to provide contract aircrew support, including completion of survival and aviation physiology training.
Clearance:
A Top-Secret Clearance is required. US Citizenship is required.
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be eligible for and obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
A graduate of one of the following test pilot schools: USNTPS or USAFTPS.
Previous designation as a MQ-4 TACCO or as a Mission Commander in P-3/EP-3 or P-8.
8 years of flight experience with 4 years of flight test experience.
Experience in persistent surveillance and C4ISR operations, exercise creation and execution, broad area surveillance conceptual planning.
Fleet exercise officer and/or mission planning expertise.
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
- 40 hours/week
Compensation:
- $122,100 - $183,150
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation.
Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
