Position Overview:

The Project Manager in the welding, fabrication, and mechanical maintenance space is\ responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of assigned projects, from planning and\ execution to delivery and closeout. This role requires a deep understanding of welding processes,\ metal fabrication, and mechanical maintenance practices, as well as the ability to manage teams,\ meet deadlines, control costs, and ensure the highest levels of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

? Project Planning and Scheduling:\ o Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource

allocation.\ o Establish project budgets and ensure adherence to cost constraints throughout the

project lifecycle.\ o Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to define project scope,

objectives, and deliverables.

Execution and Coordination:

o Lead project teams composed of welders, fabricators, mechanical technicians, and\ supervisors to execute project tasks.

o Ensure welding, fabrication, and maintenance work is performed according to\ project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

o Monitor the progress of projects, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and\ take proactive measures to avoid delays and cost overruns.

? Budget and Cost Management:\ o Control project costs, ensure work is delivered on or under budget, and identify

cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.\ o Manage procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials, parts, and

equipment for welding and fabrication projects.\ o Prepare regular financial and progress reports for senior management and clients.

? Team Leadership and Development:\ o Manage, motivate, and develop a team of skilled professionals, including welders,

fabricators, and maintenance technicians.

o Conduct regular team meetings, communicate project goals, and ensure alignment\ with project schedules.

o Address performance issues promptly and provide guidance, training, and\ mentoring to ensure continuous improvement.

? Quality Control and Safety Compliance:\ o Ensure all welding, fabrication, and mechanical work meets or exceeds industry

standards, company policies, and client specifications.\ o Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality control processes and

protocols.\ o Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards,

ensuring the use of PPE, safety practices, and adherence to OSHA and other\ relevant regulations.

? Client and Stakeholder Communication:\ o Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on

project status, timelines, and any issues or changes.\ o Manage client expectations and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise during

project execution.\ o Ensure all documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project

deliverables, is accurate and completed on time.

Problem Solving and Risk Managemen :

o Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact\ on project timelines and budgets.

o Troubleshoot technical issues related to welding, fabrication, and mechanical\ maintenance, ensuring swift and effective solutions.

o Manage change requests and ensure any scope or schedule adjustments are\ properly documented and communicated.

? Continuous Improvement:\ o Analyze project outcomes and participate in post-project reviews to capture

lessons learned and promote process improvements for future projects.\ o Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in

welding, fabrication, and mechanical maintenance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

? Technical Expertise:\ o In-depth knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick), metal fabrication

processes, and mechanical systems.\ o Familiarity with relevant standards and code
