Commander, Navy Installations FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII. The salary range for positions filled at the GS-11 is $77,192 to $100,344. The salary range for positions filled at the GS-12 is $92,520 to $120,282. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time. Responsibilities You will analyze accounting functions to identify regulatory and accounting changes, resource control functions, or operating level problems. You will use integrated financial management systems to monitor and measure the cost of operations. You will compile data to prepare accounting and financial system reports. You will brief customers and senior managers on financial or budget programs. You will prepare briefs regarding financial management system issues for senior managers. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR THE GS-12 GRADE LEVEL: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting appropriation laws, financial regulations and policies; 2) Performing data analytics; 3) Providing financial advice and guidance to external customers; 4) Performing financial reporting and auditing; 5) Providing training. If selected below the full performance level, incumbent may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: FOR THE GS-11 GRADE LEVEL: Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. OR Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled. OR Have a combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience.
