Pender Community Hospital District Respiratory Therapist (PRN) in Pender, Nebraska

Job Descriptions:

The Respiratory Therapist provides for assessment, evaluation, planning and documentation of care provided to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders in the following age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This care will be delivered in accordance with established standards of performance in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Pender Community Hospital.

Hours: Hours vary/as needed, Monday-Friday

Required Experience:

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree

  • Two years' experience as a Respiratory Therapist preferred

  • The candidate must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards involved in respiratory care and knowledge of life support equipment.

  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability and knowledge required to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for quality care.

  • Active Member of AARC preferred

  • Emergency Room, Critical Care, Pediatric, and Neonatal experience preferred

Certificates, Licensure, Registrations

  • Graduate of a recognized COARC or JRCRTE/AMA Respiratory Care Educational Program

  • Current/Active license to practice Respiratory Therapy in the State of Nebraska

  • Must have BLS certification upon hire

  • ACLS, PALS, & NRP within one year of employment
