Pender Community Hospital District Respiratory Therapist (PRN) in Pender, Nebraska
Job Descriptions:
The Respiratory Therapist provides for assessment, evaluation, planning and documentation of care provided to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders in the following age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This care will be delivered in accordance with established standards of performance in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Pender Community Hospital.
Hours: Hours vary/as needed, Monday-Friday
Required Experience:
Education and/or Experience
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree
Two years' experience as a Respiratory Therapist preferred
The candidate must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards involved in respiratory care and knowledge of life support equipment.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability and knowledge required to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for quality care.
Active Member of AARC preferred
Emergency Room, Critical Care, Pediatric, and Neonatal experience preferred
Certificates, Licensure, Registrations
Graduate of a recognized COARC or JRCRTE/AMA Respiratory Care Educational Program
Current/Active license to practice Respiratory Therapy in the State of Nebraska
Must have BLS certification upon hire
ACLS, PALS, & NRP within one year of employment
