THE POSITION
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is thrilled to announce a fantastic opening for a skilled Senior Civil Engineer specializing in hydraulics. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The employee is responsible for a range of civil engineering tasks that encompass the design, construction, rehabilitation, maintenance, and inspection of dams, as well as other projects related to civil engineering, specifically for the Bureau of Forestry and the Bureau of State Parks. This role involves applying engineering principles to ensure the integrity and functionality of these structures, contributing to the overall management and preservation of natural resources and public lands.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Travel and overnight travel required as needed to visit projects located in the State Parks and the State Forest Districts
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, 5 days in office and 5 days teleworking from home in a 2-week work cycle. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline; or
Two years of professional civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
Special Requirements:
This position requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
Other Requirements:
