Insight Global Jira Administrator in Peoria, Illinois

Job Description

  • Manage, configure, and support Jira Software

  • Tailor Jira workflows, screens, fields, and permissions to align with business practices

  • Develop and maintain automation rules using Jira automation features

  • Integrate Jira with other tools (Zephyr, Easy Vista, external databases, etc.)

  • Create and optimize Jira workflows for complex, high-impact projects

  • Define conditions, validators, and post-functions for workflow transitions

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to workflows and configurations

  • Assist in evaluating and testing Jira plug-ins, managing licensing, and configuring new features

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide Jira solutions that meet project needs

  • Document all customizations and configurations for future reference and troubleshooting

  • Create training materials and conduct Jira demonstrations for project teams

Skills and Requirements

  • Experience in Jira administration - workflows, screen, permissions, and schemes

  • Experience working with Jira Plans (formerly Jira Roadmaps)

  • Experience in building complex filters (JQLs) and workable Jira components/labels

  • Experience with Jira dashboards, reports, and board configuration

  • Familiarity with scripting languages, such as JavaScript, for automation

  • Understanding of how Jira releases work - Experience working with source control tools (Azure DevOps or others) as a plugin to Jira

  • Familiarity with Atlassian Intelligence and/or Atlassian certification

  • Knowledge of how Jira Goals work

  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall null
