Farnsworth Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern - January 2025 in our Peoria, IL office. You will have the opportunity to expand your mechanical engineering knowledge and work with a team of experienced mechanical engineers on a variety of mechanical engineering related projects. The Mechanical team’s projects focus on commercial, educational, recreational, banking, and local & federal government facilities, both new construction and renovation work.

Job Activities:

  • HVAC and Plumbing design for various projects

  • Preparation of construction documents

  • Cost estimating and permitting

  • Construction administration

  • Revit and AutoCAD software packages

  • Observing construction at various job sites

  • General project and office/ field support

Specific Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program

  • Revit and/or AutoCAD experience would be beneficial

  • Computer proficiency with MS Office, Excel and Word

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
