Perform adjustments, repairs, and routine service on farm machinery, promptly reporting any malfunctions to supervisors to minimize downtime. Securely attach farm implements, such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters, to tractors using bolts and hand tools, preparing equipment for operation. Operate towed machinery, including seed drills and manure spreaders, to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops, adhering to agronomic practices. Regulate product flow through machines on conveyors, discarding diseased or rotten products to maintain quality control standards. Manage the collection of products at the discharge ends of machinery, efficiently positioning boxes or attaching bags to capture output and handling full containers appropriately. Load and unload crops and containers of materials, either manually or utilizing conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers, ensuring efficiency and safety in handling. Load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to supply machines with products, employing forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks for effective material handling. Weigh containers filled with crops, recording weights and other pertinent information for inventory management and compliance purposes. Accurately mix specified materials and chemicals, transferring solutions, powders, or seeds into planter and sprayer machinery in accordance with operational guidelines. Apply fertilizer and pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus, weed growth, and diseases using hand sprayers, adhering to environmental and safety standards. Assist with planting operations by walking beside or riding on planting machines, inserting plants into planter mechanisms at predetermined intervals to ensure uniformity.
