Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Public Senior Accountant in Pevely, Missouri, United States. You will be instrumental in the industry, assisting with account reconciliations, cost accounting, and financial close processes. Your role will also involve overseeing payroll and ensuring all web transactions are processed correctly.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with account reconciliations, including reviewing payments and applying them to the appropriate invoices.

• Handling cost accounting tasks, including billing of materials, cost analysis, inventory valuation, budgeting & forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Utilizing accounting software systems to support the financial close process.

• Reviewing all transactions on the company website and ensuring web payments are processed correctly.

• Providing oversight for payroll, reviewing for accuracy and updating employee records as needed.

• Performing intercompany transactions and eliminations to support the Controller as needed.

• Using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Conducting accrual accounting tasks as required.

• Maintaining accurate records and taking necessary action on customer accounts. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in the usage of Accounting Software Systems

• Comprehensive understanding and experience in Accounting Functions

• Proven ability in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Accrual Accounting principles and practices

• Skills in Account Reconciliation with attention to detail

• Experience in managing Financial Close Process effectively

• Ability to handle Cash Applications efficiently

• Knowledge about Bill of Materials (BOM) and its application in accounting

• Experience in managing Full Cycle Payroll

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
