Job Description
The Safety lead for Construction Projects – Bulletin Building and 3000M must have a strong ability to influence and lead associates, set direction, and vision and provide support to all levels within the organization. Individual must be driven to find root cause and provide sustainable solutions. This leader will connect with employees at different levels and deliver effective communications both written and verbal with emotional intelligence to handle and resolve conflicts effectively. Safety is the number one priority in Our Client and will be treated as such with a positive light in all circumstances, safety is not punitive.
Hard Skills
Provides summary reports and visual management on the progress towards Safety goals, and any agency/regulatory inspections/violations.
Is the safety leader for the projects under their control – works with all contractors in a collaborative manner, ensuring all work is completed in a safe manner.
Works with EHS leader to ensure company rules and regs are followed.
Ensures JHAs are completed accurately, for all construction tasks, and signs off on same daily; ensure all Hot Work permits and confined space permits and all others are accurate and signed off daily. No permits will go beyond one day without being updated.
Manage the muster point and egress from the building, training all to correctly address.
Ensure safety topics are held for all meeting starts.
Ensures OSHA reporting for these projects are completed accurately and provided for signature to the EHS leader.
Ensure each CM/Contracting company tracks all safety statistics, reports out monthly; successful candidate with add the Our Client safety hours to the tallies to ensure full reporting monthly.
Partners with site security.
OSHA 10 hour and/or 40
First Aid/ CPR/ AED trained
Experience with fall protection / working from heights; electrical safety / LOTO; Crane safety

Job Type
This is a Contract position with a duration of 12 - 18 months.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Work Environment
Multiple Buildings in Center City- Office and Pharmaceutical with active construction going on
