Job Summary

Responsible for directing and coordinating all activities related to material/equipment planning and process improvements in our supply chain planning team. Work collaboratively with teams across the supply chain organization, procurement, sales and marketing to execute a robust sales and operations planning (S&OP) process that ensures availability at the lowest cost. Provides leadership and direction for multiple functional areas. Manages professionals at manager, supervisor and professional levels. Ensures appropriate resources to achieve financial and business objectives. Influences, shapes, and integrates strategy for functional area(s).

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Strategically manage planning processes to optimize service and inventory levels that ensure product availability to meet company and supply chain business plan objectives.

• Lead the evaluation and improvement of the sales and operations planning (S&OP), tailoring the most appropriate S&OP process to be embraced by the organization to achieve business objectives.

• Work collaboratively with teams across the supply chain organization and divisions/regions to drive continuous improvement in adjacent functions including transportation and operations.

• Serve as a champion and subject matter expert around sale and S&OP, elevating the understanding and knowledge of S&OP with your peers/key stakeholders.

• Align strategic roadmap with key stakeholders across functions, hierarchy, and different parts of the business.

• Partner with operations team and outsourced vendors and supplier managers responsible for ensuring consistent high quality and standardized operations, and contracted inventory/service level agreements are being maintained.

• Oversee all field and corporate escalations related to inventory/materials planning are resolved quickly and appropriately.

• Ensure new products, programs, projects are successfully integrated into all planning processes and implemented into the operations.

• Lead the development of repeatable, and thus scalable, plans and processes in order to speed time to market and improve operational efficiency.

• Create an understanding and application of master data management (MDM) to ensure consistency, accuracy and control in the ongoing maintenance and application use of information.

• Contribute to the hiring, training, and onboarding of new supply chain planners into the supply chain team.

• Advanced working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or proven ability to learn new systems quickly.

• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
