The Research Associate will report to Dr. George Hajishengallis. The project will investigate mechanisms underlying the comorbid connection between periodontitis and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D., 3-5 years postdoctoral training and experience in animal models of disease, cellular and molecular immunology, liver biology, and periodontology. The candidate may develop an independent but related project and seek external funding. Research Associates positions at the university are contingent upon grant funding.
