We will look for your leadership expertise to oversee the existing transportation alternative delivery portfolio while demonstrating strong managerial skills in the areas of alternative delivery, P3 and traditional design-bid-build. You will have the opportunity to support, develop and manage scopes of service and the delivery of quality transportation projects on-time, within budget and ensuring the satisfaction of the client’s goals and needs are met. Additionally, you will assist in the development and execution of local marketing and business development opportunities, research and track future projects, initiate and review proposals and participate in interviews and presentations.

You will serve as a QA/QC lead as needed on complex programs, continuing the refinement of QAP plan for the design Discipline and ensure its application and consistency across all offices for all project deliverables and products.

When you join our team, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain a Design Discipline plan for expectations of project delivery, client communications/coordination, management, and staffing/resource coordination. This will involve planning, organizing, and recommending key design staffing assignments for the project collaborating with the Director of Projects and Operations Managers. As a key leader, you will also mentor and train team members in project management methods, procedures, and activities.

This position reports directly to the Highway/Bridge Department Manager for the overall Performance Unit.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license with the ability to get reciprocity in various states as needed.

• Substantial experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer with oversight of highway/bridge projects including all phases of design and construction administration.

• Strong working knowledge of design and construction, highway/bridge design criteria, Federal Design Criteria, contract management, project delivery methods, team- building and client relationship building.

• Existing relationships with Mid-Atlantic transportation clients, as well as other engineering firms, with the ability to provide exceptional client service.

• Strong communication and time management skills with the ability to effectively oversee staff, projects and multiple priorities.

• Active in professional organizations, preferably having served on committees or held positions of responsibility.

• Ability to travel as needed.

• Strong business acumen and conflict resolution skills

Ideally, you'll also have:

• Master’s Degree, Engineering or Project Management

• DBIA Certification

• PMP Certification
