Summary:
- The Senior Operations Program Manager supports day-to-day operations of UPHS's Data and Analytics team, PennDnA. The Operations Program Manager communicates and collaborates with stakeholders across PennDnA to develop a thorough understanding of business needs, design initiatives to achieve organizational objectives, coordinate implementation, and foster relationships that enhance productivity. Key responsibilities include developing strategies, project plans, and policies; coordinating and documenting decision-making processes; monitoring and managing project implementation; and designing and orchestrating PennDnA communications.
Responsibilities:
Project Management & Execution: Independently lead and coordinate moderately complex projects for PennDnA, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgetary constraints, and alignment with organizational goals. Proactively assess and address problems. Continually inspect progress, seeking feedback from stakeholders. Provide regular updates to leaders on progress, impediments, and risks. Suggest improvement opportunities, when appropriate.
Budget Management: Help develop and manage the center's annual budget. Conduct financial analyses and forecast budgetary needs. Recommend cost control measure and oversee implementation, when needed.
Human Resources Management: Develop and implement policies, standards, and best practices related to the recruitment, training, ongoing management, and development of staff. Act as a liaison to Penn Medicine’s HR department.
Events & Meetings Management: Plan meetings and events, including PennDnA’s monthly all-hands meeting and leadership retreats. Prepare agendas and facilitate communication among stakeholders. Record and document decision-making, ensuring transparency and accountability within the organization.
Internal Communications: Develop and implement communication strategies to keep internal stakeholders informed. Support the implementation of new systems and procedures, ensuring they are well-documented, communicated, and adhered to across the department.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and develop solutions that meet organizational needs.
Continuous Improvement. Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies related to operations. Look for opportunities to optimize PennDnA processes and workflows. Implement best practices and standards.
Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.
Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
Bachelor's degree. (Required)
3+ years of operations management experience. (Required)
Master's degree and 2+ years of operations management. (Preferred)
1+ years of healthcare experience. (Preferred)
