CNC Mill Set Up Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Set Up Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in setting up and operating CNC mills, particularly with Haas and Mori DMG machines. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Horizontal and Vertical machines, specifically Haas UMC 750 5-axis and Mori DMG Horizontal.

• Perform MDI (Manual Data Input) programming for efficient part production.

• Conduct manual inspection using gauges and instruments to ensure part quality before submitting to the Quality Department for CMM inspection.

• Understand GD&T and interpret complex 2-D drawings.

• Monitor and inspect parts throughout the machining process.

• Follow company quality and safety procedures.

• Communicate and collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues.

• Participate in Lean manufacturing events to improve processes.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED

• 5 years of CNC mills machine set-up experience

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Experience with manual inspection using gauges and instruments

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Good communication skills for effective teamwork

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00
