This role can be based in any metropolitan market in the US. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Government Healthcare Data Consultant will be part of the team that utilizes SAS programming software to interpret, validate and analyze large health care data sets.

We will count on you to:

  • Participate in initial meetings with client or project lead to define the scope of the project and provide insight and expertise including knowledge of the capabilities and flexibility of various approaches
  • Define the data process based on project scope, insight from the project lead and direction from the project\'s senior actuarial staff
  • Understand the reasons and impacts of data anomalies and exceptions on the analysis, formulate solutions, and communicate to client teams
  • Perform technical peer review for data analysis projects
  • Act as a mentor for junior staff

What you need to have:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required
  • Thorough understanding of health care data
  • Minimum 2 years\' experience using SAS and/or minimum 2.5 years\' experience using SQL or equivalent programming language
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in th ir local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one \"anchor day\" per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is \$68,500 to \$137,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
