THE POSITION
Canyon State Electric is currently seeking skilled and motivated Low Voltage/Fire Alarm Technicians to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting low voltage systems according to industry standards and local codes. The successful candidate will be key in maintaining our commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install various types of low-voltage systems, including wiring, devices, and control panels, according to engineering specifications and in compliance with local, state, and national codes.
Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs of low voltage systems to ensure functionality and efficiency.
Conduct detailed testing and commissioning of new and existing fire alarm systems to ensure they meet all requirements and function correctly.
Accurately complete all necessary documentation including service reports, testing logs, and compliance forms.
Provide high-quality customer service, offering clear communication and feedback about the status and safety of their systems. Address customer concerns and ensure their satisfaction with services provided.
Stay updated with the latest fire protection codes and standards. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and other relevant regulations.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Share knowledge and assist in training junior technicians.
QUALIFICATIONS:
4+ years in a similar Low Voltage or Fire Alarm role, preferred*
NICET I, II, III, or IV Certification preferred*
Hardware troubleshooting and repair
Understanding of troubleshooting network connectivity, TCP/IP, routing
Strong time management skills
Team working ability
Knowledge of the construction process
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to complete a full day’s assignments involving one or more of the following: bending, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, and pulling.
General code knowledge
Safety first mindset
OSHA Certified Preferred - CSE will provide training if needed!
Valid Driver's License

Pay range is $20 to $35 per hour depending on experience.
