Job Description

Insight Global is currently seeking an experienced Engineer to join one of the States largest municipalitys. This engineer will join the municipalitys growing security team. This is a hybrid position with a twice-weekly on-site requirement. The ideal candidate has an in-depth background utilizing Network and Security technologies and best practices.

This candidate will start their position primarily working on service tickets. Because this team works directly with internal employees to handle submitted tickets, the ideal candidate must have previous experience communicating and troubleshooting directly with stakeholders. This team works alongside all of the municipality's various departments, as such, this candidate can expect to work on various network-related tools including firewalls, web, access control, VPN, and more. Additionally, this candidate will work with external vendors and review all municipality purchases from a security-first mindset.

Skills and Requirements

3-5 years of professional network security engineering experience.

 Extensive experience handling network and security tickets at tier 2 level.

 Professional experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.

 Professional experience with VPN technologies and best practices.

 Experience with access control technologies and best practices.

 Experience utilizing NetSkope or an equivalent web technology.

 Experience in customer-facing troubleshooting environments. Security-oriented purchase review experience.

 Experience utilizing SolarWinds or an equivalent monitoring technology.

 ServiceNow ticketing experience.

 In-depth understanding of Routing methodologies and technologies.

 Experience with Aruba. null
