Description We are offering a unique opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting with payroll processing and maintaining accurate employee records. This position is set within the industry and will provide a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the processing of wages, benefits, and deductions as per state and federal regulations.

• Accurately manage weekly payroll time entries in our computerized payroll system.

• Ensure all employee classifications are paid at the correct rate for state or federally funded projects.

• Submit timely weekly certified payroll for each project.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee records and information.

• Balance Global Cash Card account and process weekly per diem requests.

• Monitor and process child support, garnishment, and levy orders.

• Code, approve, and track boot and safety glasses reimbursements and distribute reports to divisions.

• Work effectively with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.

• Maintain high standards of safety and follow all safety policies and procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now

• Competence in using Ceridian and Dayforce

• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration

• Ability to use About Time software

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Ability to handle Benefit Functions

• Must pass all necessary background checks and screenings

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
