Supervisor IT Project Management | Information Technology

Are you a results-driven leader with a passion for driving IT projects to success? We’re seeking a Supervisor of IT Project Management to oversee capital project execution, resource management, and third-party service provider performance within our ITECH business unit.

Minimum Requirements

Supervisor IT Project Management | Information Technology

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Construction Management or other job-related field from an accredited college or university

  • PLUS five (5) years of experience in Project Management, Engineering, construction management or other job-related field.

  • In lieu of bachelors degree, a combination of education and experience in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management and/or other job- related field equaling 9 years is plus required.

  • Strong knowledge of project management processes, principles and methodologies. Knowledge of contract development and negotiation strategies.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel, departments and organizations.

  • Proven leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience.

  • Demonstrated high quality oral, written and presentation communication skills, high quality interpersonal and people management skills, and demonstrated experience in project management.

  • Ability to adapt to changing environment, shifting priorities and uncertainty.

  • Strong critical thinking and creativity skills along with the ability to exercise sound judgment by making decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

  • Able to understand needs and values of stakeholders and team members and apply that understanding to motivate behaviors and results.

  • Proven record of successfully establishing priorities and achieving results.

Major Accountabilities

1) Oversees multiple IT projects.

Maintain oversight of IT contracts ensuring operational delivery is in line with regulatory, contractual, and service level requirements.

2) Oversees project deliverables, ensuring they are in support of meeting milestones and budget cost control.

Reports on a monthly or more frequent basis on projects' status to ensure overall project goals, schedules and budget remain on schedule.

3) Establish and maintain strong partnerships with business units and vendors, participating in IT contract negotiations and evaluations to identify potential project issues and risks. Develops and communicates risk mitigation plans.

4) Maintain the relationship with key PMO vendors. Serve as IT primary escalation point for IT groups for ongoing or significant issues related to Project Management support.

5) Hold vendors accountable to providing continuous improvement opportunities that meet the needs of the Development and Operations groups

6) Develops and reports appropriate metrics such as project status and progress.

Resolves operational issues within the department.

Provides guidance and leadership to the project management team, project team members and project stakeholders.

7) Validate work executed complies with ITECHs standard design criteria and processes. Ensures change management plans are developed to minimize impact and disruption to business operations and customers.

Performs project post-implementation reviews and analysis to assess success of project execution.

8) Responsible for staffing, training, salary administration and performance management of personnel.

Communicates information and requirements to staff and ensures operational decisions comply with policies.

9) Validates work executed complies with standard design criteria and equipment specifications.

10) Reviews and recommends actions to continually improve performance of the department with regards to schedule management and cost control.
