What Account Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Account Management is responsible for managing the success of the relationship with an assigned set of customers to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and Cardinal Health. Responsible for long-term relationship building between the customer, Cardinal Health, and other professional organizations (Carrier Partners, etc.). The complexity of the solution, product, or services offered is variable and can range from simple to moderately complex selling.
OptiFreight™ Logistics is the leading provider of Inbound, Outbound, and Less than Truckload (LTL) Shipping and freight management services for the Healthcare sector.
*Ideal candidate resides in Mountain West Region: Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, or Ohio
Accountabilities
Builds and fosters strong, productive customer partnerships focused on ensuring customer success and retention; develops a trusted advisor relationship with key stakeholders and executive sponsors.
Meets or exceeds assigned quota by maintaining growth within the existing customer base as well as actively searching for new business opportunities within territory.
Oversee assigned OptiFreight customers as it pertains to shipping, logistics, and general service needs
Supports cross functional teamwork – Finance, Operations, Marketing, Service and more etc.
Manage customer expectations and requirements through proactive account review, facilitating issue resolution, and keeping customer informed of key initiatives
Collaborates with OptiFreight and Cardinal Health business units to identify new opportunities within existing accounts to increase revenue and margin. Responsible for overall account profitability, leading deal modeling and approval processes, developing and executing account profitability strategies
Track, measure, and report key performance indicators monthly
Build and maintain long-term trusted relationships with customer to support retention and growth of the account
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
3-6 years healthcare, logistics, and/or solutions-based sales experience preferred
Ability to travel up to 30%
Demonstrated financial acumen, including complex negotiation skills, strategic and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint and Excel; highly preferred
Strong background in complex selling situations, and ability to cultivate and maintain executive relationships to achieve business objectives
Ability to analyze complex business issues and lead the development of customized action plans to drive value for the customer and Cardinal Health
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong knowledge of hospital and healthcare economics
Direct customer facing experience preferred

Anticipated salary range: $121,100 - $155,800 (includes targeted variable pay)
