Job Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Training Specialist to design, implement, and manage corporate training initiatives that enhance skill development and operational efficiency across our organization. This role is key to delivering engaging learning experiences for a geographically dispersed workforce and optimizing training impact through effective use of learning management systems (LMS) and analytics. The ideal candidate excels in instructional design, content creation, and managing multiple priorities with precision and innovation.

As part of our dynamic Training & Development team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality training programs and supporting the ongoing professional growth of our employees at Leslie’s, the nation’s leading retail specialty pool supplies company. This is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative, engaging training materials for various delivery methods, including e-learning, instructor-led sessions, and blended learning.

  • Use instructional design principles to create scalable, user-focused content that meets organizational needs and reinforces company standards.

  • Regularly update training content to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with operational priorities.

  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the company’s LMS to ensure seamless content delivery, learner tracking, and reporting.

  • Assign, monitor, and manage training completions for new hires and ongoing development programs.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide LMS support to end-users.

  • Manage all aspects of training rollouts, including scheduling, communication, and resource allocation.

  • Handle ad hoc training requests and projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Monitor annual training assignments and compliance, ensuring they meet company and regulatory requirements.

  • Analyze training metrics and performance data to evaluate program effectiveness and identify trends or areas for improvement.

  • Create detailed reports and dashboards to share insights with stakeholders and inform decision-making.

  • Leverage analytics to recommend actionable improvements to training programs and processes.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including HR, Operations, and SMEs, to align training solutions with company objectives.

  • Work closely with retail leaders to identify skill gaps and tailor training programs to address their specific needs.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for training-related inquiries and feedback, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Gather learner feedback and analyze post-training surveys to refine content and delivery methods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on training and development.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of end-to-end program implementation.

  • Strong project organization skills with advanced attention to detail.

  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions and improve programs and requests.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and facilitate with stakeholders at various levels.

  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.

  • Proficient in learning management systems (LMS), instructional design tools, and virtual learning platforms.
