Job Summary

Work Shift

1 - First Shift

The Administrative Assistant is responsible to further assist the department to meet customer and dealer demands on a daily basis. This position strives for excellent communication to ensure that Company personnel, dealers, and customers are well informed and proper documentation distributed as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Exhibit the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused and stewardship while modeling the associated behaviors.

  2. Create and maintain Company confidential documentation including, but not limited to, presentations, spreadsheets, basic financial reporting and updated documentation.

  3. Provide administrative support by conducting various administrative functions i.e. creating meeting agendas, travel arrangements and maintaining calendars; submitting expense reports; sorting and delivering mail; developing correspondence including, but not limited to, letters, reports, emails, memos, etc.

  4. Coordinate various Company/department programs, schedules, and possibly serve as the main contact for some programs.

  5. Provide support to the department, answer and route phone calls; find personnel to help solve any issues in the department.

    Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma required.

  • Minimum 1 year of job experience and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Associate's degree preferred.

    Other Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to learn company-specific operating systems.

  • Strong desire to support a larger team, is people-focused, and strives to go above and beyond every day.

  • Demonstration of attention to detail and accuracy to ensure quality work and products in a timely manner.

  • Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers.

  • Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers and peers.

  • Effective management of time and resources.

  • Knowledge in the area(s) of Company policies, procedures, and products.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task various projects within the department.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects.

  • Excel at daily communication with dealership(s) personnel.

    Travel

  • Up to 5% domestic and/or international travel by car or plane may be required.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
