We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Operational Risk to join our BNY Investments Risk team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA in a Hybrid work environment[RG1]. About the team: At BNY, the Credit Risk group performs the review, challenge, oversight, and guidance of the firm's lending activities to our clients.[RG2] In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Assists with risk management efforts for the assigned credit risk focus, such as Credit Analysis & Approval/Portfolio Management. Helps with the development of documentation and reporting. Work alongside application business managers to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices. Collaborate closely with all the other members of the team to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts that the team has committed to. Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, business users, project managers to implement requested and required application changes to the Credit Approval and Rating System. Work alongside model risk team in the development and maintenance of rating score cards and testing. Manage implementation of updates to the rating application for business users. Collaborate closely with all the other members of the team to manage and address issues raised up related to the rating workflows. Helps to improve each region's adherence to the risk management strategy of the assigned credit risk discipline. Interact with credit officers and portfolio managers, as needed. Reviews work with more senior professionals and should exhibit strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills while collaborating with other. Build familiarity with regional differences. Contributes to the implementation of new, approved Credit Analysis & Reporting, Operational Credit Risk, Country Risk or Credit Administration risk management solutions that comply with regulatory requirements.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or similar degree field is required. 1+ years total work experience is required. 3 years of experience in credit risk preferred. Excellent and demonstrable communication, written, and presentation skills are required. Strong data analysis and data presentation skills
