We are seeking a detail-oriented Membership Accounting Specialist to join a leading company in the Steel Manufacturing industry. This position is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and offers a contract-to-hire employment path with onsite work in Downtown. The ideal candidate will excel in handling inquiries, maintaining records, and providing crucial administrative support.

ey Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from active employees, pensioners, and surviving spouses via telephone.

• Support the switchboard operator with managing incoming and outgoing calls.

• Handle health insurance enrollments and updates with external vendors.

• Maintain and update retirement records with the pension disbursing agent.

• Prepare necessary paperwork for new hires or contract renewals.

• Manage and update benefit enrollments for all employees.

• Oversee employee records in the Oracle database.

• Draft memos, create mail merges, and develop spreadsheets to track personnel data.

• Conduct audits of personnel-related expenses and process check requests.

• Perform additional administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar administrative or accounting support role.

• Familiarity with Oracle or similar database systems is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is essential.

• Demonstrable understanding of Business Process Functions.

• Ability to create and manage Business Requirement Documents.

• Experience in Claim Administration is a must.

• Proficiency in Oracle systems.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Knowledge of steel manufacturing industry is an advantage.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in a manufacturing industry.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and software.

• Willingness to continually increase knowledge and understanding of the steel manufacturing industry.
