UPMC Shadyside is hiring! We are seeking a Flex/Full-Time Radiology Technologist or Radiology Technologist Advanced to join our Consolidated Outpatient Team! Enjoy staggered 4 x 10-hour shifts starting at 5:30 AM, 6:00 AM, 6:30 AM, or 7:00 AM. No evenings, weekends, holidays, or call responsibilities—work-life balance is a priority!
Expand your skills by learning blood draws and performing EKG readings. Collaborate with our orthopedic office in the same building, gaining experience with x-rays and providing coverage as needed. Deliver exceptional patient care in a friendly and supportive outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:
Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives.
Demonstrates competency of specialty equipment (O.R., Fluoro Procedures, etc.) and analyzes data promptly. Performs electrocardiograms and lab draw functions if applicable.
Monitors quality control activities and demonstrates advanced level of knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging by providing patient care as defined by the most up to day protocols and procedures.
Demonstrates the ability to function independently, and is able to cover off shifts, on-call responsibilities, and perform services at satellite facilities, where applicable, while continually communicating with lead and management team.
Participates in standardization activities with system-level workgroups.
Works directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development.
Assist with the training of staff and student technologists.
Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.
2 years Diagnostic experience required.
Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT certified in Radiography.
CPR or BLS Required.
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
