Job Title: Security Operations Specialist

Job Description

Support our security compliance operations processes. This role involves processing vendor security reviews, reviewing vulnerability management reports, conducting access audits, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security operations and a keen eye for process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Send out questionnaires to prospective vendors, evaluate their compliance reports and questionnaire responses, and ensure they meet security standards.

• Review and analyze vulnerability management reports, track vulnerabilities over time, monitor their remediation status, identify potential risks, and recommend remediation actions.

• Conduct access audits by reaching out to managers and system owners to verify and document access controls.

• Create and maintain detailed process documentation to ensure clarity and consistency in security operations.

• Identify opportunities for improving existing processes and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Generate summary reports on security compliance activities and present findings to relevant stakeholders.

Essential Skills

• Experience in security operations, particularly in processing vendor security reviews, vulnerability management, and access audits.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with managers and system owners.

• Proficiency in creating process documentation and summary reports.

• Ability to identify and implement process improvements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with industry standards such as NIST, SOC2, or ISO.

• Experience with security tools and technologies.

• Experience with creating reports using queries from Jira or SQL.

• Proficiency in Security, AWS, Python, and SIEM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00
