Manual Machinist Job Summary The manual machinist will create tools and other components using a variety of equipment, such as a lathe, a drill press, a micrometer, and grinding machines. Prior roles as a lathe operator or in another manual machining position is a plus.

Manual Machinist Duties and Responsibilities Read blueprints to determine what equipment and materials are necessary for the job. Follow the blueprints to create the appropriate tools and components. Operate your machines to grind, cut, and polish the materials. Finish projects using manual tools. Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure they remain in good working order. Manual Machinist Requirements and Qualifications Machinist vocational certificate or completed industry apprenticeship. Manual dexterity Lathe machining experience Blueprinting reading skills Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma. training program through an industry apprenticeship or earned a machinist certificate from a vocational school. Experience working as a lathe operator or in another manual machining position, Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging environment. Strong diligence and organizational skills Experience with Blueprint reading/literacy including Geometric Dimensions and Tolerance (GD&T) is preferred. Excellent communication skills
