UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN- PLATTEVILL Residence Life Coordinator II in PLATTEVILLE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The Department of Residence Life offers 10 co-educational residential living facilities at UW-Platteville where students live, learn, and grow. Our mission is to provide safe, clean, comfortable, and inclusive living environments as well as opportunities for individuals to be active participants in creating respectful and responsible learning communities. We are currently looking to fill Resident Director(RD) positions, which are full-time, live-in professional staff positions responsible for the supervision of 1-2 residence halls. Resident Directors work collaboratively in smaller team groups to direct and coordinate various departmental projects. The RD position supervises 8- 20 resident assistants, 1-2 Senior Assistants, provides assistance to residents, advises hall government, oversees the facilitation of community development, serves as a conduct hearing officer, assists with University and departmental recruitment efforts, and performs administrative and managerial tasks associated with the hall. In addition, this position will involve some evening and weekend work with respect to the employee\'s personal life. Responsibilities: Serves as a main point of contact for resident support providing mediation and resolution of personal and facility issues Plans, implements, and evaluates student programs and initiatives for residence life Receives and responds to crisis and student conduct situations according to established policies and procedures May supervise the day-to-day activities of students and/or professional staff and assist with the personnel management allocation plan including hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation Supervises one-two university residence halls Directs and coordinates various department projects Advises hall government - Oversees the facilitation of community development/curriculum Assists with university and departmental recruitment efforts Performs administrative and managerial tasks associated with the hall What You\'ll Need to Succeed: Bachelors Degree Supervisory experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong organizational skills Ability to work with various members of the institution, including faculty, senior leadership, and students A demonstrated commitment of working with racially and socioeconomically diverse students Experience working in a residence hall setting Attention to detail Why It\'s...
