Job Summary
Assists in the repair and maintenance of equipment or machinery.
Job Duties Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.) Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures Perform complex routine maintenance on plant equipment and understand complex preventative techniques Diagnose and repair all breakdowns pertaining to machinery, utility services and building structures to proper working conditions Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Performs preventive maintenance procedures on daily, weekly, monthly basis on building, mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, check fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs and replaces broken parts. Specify the necessary tools, parts and surplus stock to minimize operational down time of operations Use hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, blueprints, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately to maintain records of scheduled maintenance and completed tasks. Communications to ensure efficient coordination between shift and departments (quality, engineering, maintenance) Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education Perform work under minimal supervision Handle complex issues and problems and only refer the most complex issues to higher-level staff Possess comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter, including knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic, and fluid dynamic application 4 to 6 years of experience, including experience driving powered industrial equipment Powered industrial equipment certification preferred
