IRIS Consulting Corporation Data Analyst in Plymouth, Minnesota
The Parts, Garments, and Accessories (PG&A) Data Analyst is a highly collaborative role designed to empower our teams with information that elevates insights. This role encompasses three main functions: Consumer Insights, Advanced Analytics, and Business Performance Solutions. As a Data Analyst, you will drive efficiency, decision-making, and insights by engineering business-focused datasets from transactional data tables. Your responsibilities will include implementing dealer data reporting opportunities for PG&A business teams, increasing data availability by updating nightly processes, and identifying new opportunities in standard reporting to reduce waste and increase visibility into core business drivers. Additionally, you will conduct data validation and quality assurance to ensure data integrity, collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate data from various sources, and provide training and support to team members on data tools and best practices. You will lead and participate in structured problem-solving sessions with PG&A Analysts, facilitating cross-functional participation and action plans. Effective communication is crucial as you translate business requirements into data requirements to ensure analytic solutions meet customer needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Drive automation through process consolidation, analytics, and systematic decision making.
Develop and maintain documentation for systems and projects, including process flow, data mapping/lineage, and user navigation.
Identify gaps and opportunities in standard reporting to reduce waste and increase visibility to core business drivers.
Lead and participate in structured problem-solving with PG&A Analysts, facilitating cross-functional participation and action plans.
Translate business requirements into data requirements to ensure analytic solutions meet customer needs.
Improve Dealer Management System reporting by transitioning to raw source data in snowflake and providing fresh eyes to our cleansing process.
Expand product quality reporting by bringing together data from multiple sources and create clearer insights for our product teams.
Understand and connect data and processes within larger Polaris ecosystems.
Effectively communicate solutions across all levels of the organization, from end users to upper-level management.
Utilize knowledge of available information to create solutions for supply chain, marketing, finance, and other business areas.
Skills & Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Diverse Data Analytics experience, 3+ years desired.
Direct experience and proficiency with advanced analytics tools such as Alteryx and PowerBI as well as advanced literacy in basic analytical tools typically used by business partners (e.g. Excel).
Skilled working with upstream data either directly or through managing projects with data engineers; familiarity with data layer tools such as DataBricks or Snowflake as well as coding languages like R, Python or SQL.
Experience working through ambiguity to define problems, develop alternatives for solutions and implement solutions with measurable results
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with highly technical resources as well as front-end business client
Outstanding cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills required
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills required.
