This is one role but can be based out of Plymouth, Brooklyn Park, Maple Plain, or Rosemount. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing full time skilled maintenance duties and customer service to support to the facilities department. What You'll Do: Provide and promote good customer service through interaction with all departments across our Minnesota facilities. Communicate effectively with all departments to complete maintenance tasks. Take primary control of Boiler checks as license allows. Make suggestions on repairs regarding budget as it relates to the RTU's, and Boilers Responsible for the Pirana work order system to ensure all equipment, building shell items are cataloged, as well as ensuring predictive maintenance is scheduled at the appropriate time. Work closely with the facilities Coordinator on scheduled dates of service to ensure coverage to get contractors going with their work. Work side by side on daily functions with other facilities Tech and or outside service facility provider Office equipment assembly and installation. RTU Filter changes and visual checks during changes, to include belt changes. Take care of all Flag replacement Manufacturing equipment assembly when assistance is requested and within parameters of working ability and facilities scope. Inspections and restroom checks, address issues as they arise. Plumbing to include P-trap replacement, faucet, and valve replacement. Identifying leaks to determine the correct company to call for repair or if it can't be done in house. Light maintenance including painting, minor dry wall patching, light bulb replacement. Battery replacement (i.e., flushometers, detex alarms, clocks, etc.) Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency. Continually seek to improve work processes, systems, and individual performance. Able to be on an on-call basis for emergencies and or needs arise. Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. What It Takes: 1-2 years hands-on experience maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings General facility maintenance knowledge to include compressed air systems, electrical and process cooling systems Ability to effectively interact with people at all levels of the organization, including operations, engineering, and management Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Self-starter with the ability organize priorities as they present themselves Ability to read and write in English, do basic arithmetic, and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to use computers for the creation and manipulation of files/data using Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Light Plumbing experience Clean Driving record and able to drive to multiple buildings.
