Brady Corporation Lead Software Engineer in Plymouth, Minnesota

What We Need:

The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for designing and writing high-quality code to support the development of Brady’s software products . The Lead Software Engineer will work in a small focused team, creating interconnected desktop apps to drive Brady’s line of printing solutions. The engineer is expected to participate in the designing of solutions that meet customer needs, document the design, write clear concise code, comment code as appropriate, and create documentation outlining code functionality. All engineers are required to follow Brady’s development process which includes our agile process. Individuals will be responsible for managing the development of modules as part of a development team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leverage C#, .NET, and Microsoft’s Visual Studio environment

  • Utilize object-oriented coding techniques, follow coding standards, and follow standard development best practices

  • Manage the design and architecture of modules in the overall product

  • Work with Brady’s user experience team and product owner to define and develop features

  • Deliver quality code by getting peer feedback through code reviews and following best practices established by the team

  • Support other development and quality assurance team members with expertise in code and functionality

  • Direct internal and external resources in software development to deliver assigned modules.

  • Lead team to make time estimate coding efforts for an entire project

  • Communicate technical information and implications of implementations

  • Setup and use software code debuggers and profiling tools

  • Performs other tasks as required. Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, the duties listed on this job description

    What You Will Need To Be Successful:

  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience

  • Proficient with C# language programming

  • Proficient in .NET or .NET Core

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design

  • Demonstrated knowledge of architecture design concepts

  • Experience in at least one UI technology: WPF, Xamarin, XAML

  • Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code
