THE WORK:
You’ll provide civil engineering services to support Transmission and Distribution (T&D) projects, including Caltrans Design Standard Decision Document (DSDD) permitting and access road or erosion repair work.
You’ll coordinate with T&D requestors to gather required documentation and ensure compliance with Caltrans DSDD/EPE processes.
You’ll assign projects to consultants, update project trackers, and manage DSDD/EPE packages for requestors.
You’ll respond to Caltrans comments by collaborating with stakeholders to revise DSDDs and EPEs.
You’ll build relationships with internal teams and external permitting agencies (e.g., Caltrans, city and county officials) while providing proactive updates to stakeholders on project status.
You’ll manage and support multiple engineering consultants, providing quality assurance for DSDD deliverables.
You’ll review engineering consultant proposals, prepare procurement requests, and evaluate project invoices.
When T&D access road or erosion repairs are required, you’ll assess onsite needs with stakeholders and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop repair recommendations, construction documents, and offer construction support.
Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
Experience working with Caltrans Districts, particularly Districts 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 12.
Knowledge of the Caltrans DSDD and EPE processes.
Expertise in transportation highway design and civil land development (e.g., grading, drainage, perimeter walls, fencing, retaining wall design).
Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification for California.
Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook).
Experience managing a high volume of workload requests and communicating clearly with multiple stakeholders via video calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
A proactive approach to project management, adaptability to reprioritize tasks, and strong communication skills.
