Role Summary
The Manager- Facilities Engineering supervises maintenance activities for process assets within the facility. This includes the support functions to meet the required reliability to support operational targets. This position will primarily focus on maintenance for production equipment and crib management. The manager will have approximately 5-7 direct reports, and 100+ indirect reports (3rd party) and will be required to work on-site in Pontiac, IL.
What you will do:
Collaborates with engineers, partners and suppliers to meet business goals in accordance with the sustainable use of facilities and budget demands.
Constructs an efficient process maintenance team and guides training sessions to ensure quality performance.
Evaluates the operation's effectiveness with assets and equipment; provides appropriate solutions to challenges and risks.
Oversees inspections, repairs and updates of assets and relevant operational activities; maintains order at the facility.
Requirements:
5-10 years of experience effectively leading a team by demonstrating empathy, strong communication, decision-making, adaptability, and influence.
Budgeting: Experience managing the departmental budget by tracking performance, developing cost-saving opportunities, and predicting future costs related to repairs and maintenance.
Effectiveness Measuremen t: Extensive experience monitoring asset reliability and maintenance execution, sets and uses industry benchmarks to drive operational efficiency, supervises data collection and analysis, and defines and tracks metrics for multiple functions.
Problem Solving: Extensive experience leading problem resolution efforts, using various problem-solving techniques, contributing to standard practices, analyzing information, and developing successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems.
Manufacturing Equipment: Experience overseeing the operation, maintenance, and reliability of manufacturing equipment, coordinates with vendors and staff, and ensures routine and preventive maintenance.
Supplier Management - MFG: Extensive experience managing supplier relationships, monitoring performance, developing quality standards, building partnerships, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
Top Candidates will also have:
Completed a Business, Industrial, or Engineering Degree preferred (Associate’s or higher)
Experience using PowerBI and Excel
Extensive experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles
Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00
