Job Summary
With a commitment to safety, the Sr. Supervisor of Operations oversees the regional employees in the day-to-day activities including scheduling, administrative responsibilities, customer service, problem resolution, training and safety. The Sr Supervisor is also expected to show a field presence as it relates to the work they oversee. Job requires supervision after hours on an on-call basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Directly supervise UGI and contractor employees in the safe, reliable and efficient installation and maintenance of UGI distribution facilities.
- Develop and Implement cost saving measures within the C&M Operation. Review paperwork to ensure proper contractor billing. Review as-built sketches to ensure accuracy.
- Work with employees as a group and individually to develop and enhance technical skills, knowledge of installation and safety standards.
- Complete all required reports and computer inputting as required. Respond to and address customer complaints.
- Respond to, and take a leadership role in, emergency situations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have the ability to work well independently and with others.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to take direction and provide direction to others.
- Problem solving skills to appropriately plan day to day activities.
- Knowledge of construction methods and practices related to the installation, restoration, and maintenance of gas facilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office experience.
- Safe Driving History and valid driver's license (confirmed by Driver's record check) -- recent and/or multiple driving violations may disqualify candidates from employment.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Five years' experience.
