Telecom Equipment Operator

Job Description

Telecom Equipment Operator duties will include operating heavy equipment used in the construction of telecommunication cable placement.

Essential duties and responsibilities including but not limited to:

Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks 

Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine construction path

Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance

Perform work in all weather conditions

Dig pits, trenches or potholes as directed by job plan 

Drive company vehicles with equipment to and from jobsites as necessary and permitted

Safely operate and control heavy machinery including but not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer  

Utilize "Mud" mixing systems when drilling/boring

Determine bore path and locate utilities
