Job Requirements:

  • FL RN (Registered Nurse) license

  • At least 1 year of RN PICC experience is required

  • Ultrasound guided vascular access experience required

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

About the Job:

  • Evaluates patients related to proper venous access based on diagnosis and plan of care.

  • Must be able to work with physicians and nursing staff on a daily basis to assist with venous access making recommendations and implement the plan of care

  • Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.

  • Must be proficient in all areas of venous access, (i.e. peripheral venous access, port access) and preferred PICC certified. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within scope of practice.

  • Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Responsible for coordinating nursing care for Radiology, and Interventional Radiology. in accordance with policies and procedures of the nursing dept. Responsibilities include overseeing unlicensed employee activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning care/intervention, patient teaching, and family. Implementation of treatment in radiology, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, IR and cardiology with physician, and nursing direction. The RN must communicate effectively and collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.RN with current state license. Must have at least three years clinical experience as a Staff Nurse in a comparable area.
