Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has a unique opportunity for a highly experienced maintenance and operations management professional who has exceptional leadership skills and the initiative to deliver the maintenance program. The successful incumbent will direct and coordinate use of resources to operate, preserve and maintain over 600 lane miles of primary State highways. You will also be responsible for managing and preserving the Area 3 section facilities, a headquarters facility, and utilizing up to 40 full and part time employees. This role directs and coordinates operational, maintenance and emergency activities, sets goals, provides guidance and procedures for a geographical area of the second largest region in the state, which includes two counties, four cities and towns, six tribal reservations, several incorporated municipalities, Olympic National Park and other state and federal agencies. The development and sustaining of public confidence are imperative and therefore this individual must have unparalleled ability to plan, coordinate, and lead activities with a strong customer-focus.
