We are in the process of hiring an Accounting Specialist in Portland, Maine, 04103, United States. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. The Accounting Specialist will be accountable for handling various accounting functions, utilizing accounting software systems, and providing excellent customer service. The role is based in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems for efficient financial management

• Handle financial inquiries using ADP - Financial Services

• Efficiently manage billing functions and ensure accuracy

• Perform auditing tasks to maintain financial security and transparency

• Enterprise Resource Planning for optimized business process management

• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is key

• Must have a strong understanding of all Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes is required

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes is essential

• Auditing experience is necessary

• Must be able to handle Billing Functions effectively
