General Laborer

Location: Portland, Oregon

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (4 Months)

Job Description:

Are you ready to make a difference in emergency situations? We are looking for a dedicated General Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will:

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water and fire damage.

• Evaluate and perform restoration activities such as water extraction, fire damage repair, setting up specialty equipment, and demolition.

• Work comfortably in cold areas where heaters may be turned off due to power outages.

• Use a company vehicle to travel to and from job sites.

• Set up various fans to dry out areas (fans can weigh up to 50 lbs).

• Work both indoors and outdoors.

• Use basic hand and power tools to remove items like drywall, framing, toilets, furniture, or carpet depending on the damage.

• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying, and site clean-up.

Hard Skills:

• Water extraction

• Fire damage restoration

Soft Skills:

• Prompt response to emergencies

• Comfortable working in varying conditions

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work 50-55 hour work weeks during peak season.
