Fireside Home Solutions Operations Manager in Portland, Oregon

Position Type:  Full-time, Salary

Location:  Job Sites/Office; Oregon

Wage Scale : $75,000-$110,000 annually

Benefits: Full-time Regular Employees (and their families) can enroll in medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and 401K . Employees will also accrue 80 hours of paid vacation per year for the first 9 years and eight paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

Responsibilities:

  • Determines the location’s goals, objectives, policies, and future growth under the direction of their manager.

  • Coordinates and directs location operations by directly assisting sales manager and supervising production and office functions.

  • Ensures that the operations maintain a positive impact on customers.

  • Confers with customers and outside representatives to evaluate and promote possibilities for improved and expanded services in the surrounding area.

  • Monitors operations requirements and results, which may include capital expenditure proposals and facility workforce requirements.

  • Reviews costs, quality and inventory programs to maintain profitable operations of the branch.

  • Builds and sustains customer relationships.

  • Directs coordination of policies and procedures among subordinate personnel to ensure implementation by all employees.

  • Recommends budgets to management.

  • Assumes complete accountability for profit and loss within the branch. Reviews monthly sales reports and financial statements.

  • Analyzes financial information and prepares a variety of periodic reports that may include labor and loss efficiency, overhead analysis, sales margins, etc.

  • May review report findings with President to implement identified opportunities.

  • Ensures timely distribution of merchandise within the standards of budget, policies, and quality to satisfy the branch's requirements.

  • Develops and implements methods to improve productivity within established payroll and expense budgets.

  • Trains and develops supervisors to provide management depth.

  • Ensures adherence to procedures which promote the health and welfare of all associates in the branch’s operating departments.

  • Responsible for hiring, training, discipline, performance management and terminations of branch employees.

  • Determines which complex projects to bid on based on profitability of crew situations.

  • Coordinates branch activities of sales, record control and purchasing departments to ensure availability of merchandise.

  • Reviews bills of lading for incoming merchandise and customer orders to be able to plan work activities.

  • Establishes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and the keeping of branch inventory.

  • Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

  • Regular attendance is required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of management experience required.

  • Knowledge of fireplaces and/or garage doors application and installation is a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to problem solve and identify problems.

  • Ability to collaborate and work with others.

  • Regular attendance is required.

  • Valid OR Driver’s License with good driving record.
