Benefits: This is a Seasonal/Casual classification, and employees in this classification serve at-will and do not accrue status in the class to which they have been appointed and have no appeal rights upon demotion, suspension or termination from employment. This classification does not accrue vacation.

Position Summary:
The Revenue Division is seeking up to 8 Seasonal Mailroom staff, Customer Service, and Processing staff (CSA II ) positions on our Business, Arts, and Personal Income Tax teams during the Spring Tax Season. The positions will start in early March and are expected to last up to 10 weeks, depending on work volumes. All positions will be 100% onsite.
Seasonal Mailroom staff (CSA II) in the Revenue division will typically perform a combination of the following duties:
· Open and sort mail
· Take credit card payments over a secure phone line
· Scan prep, scanning, indexing documents
· Data entry and/or payment posting
· Basic research/account number lookup
· Other related tasks

To Qualify
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
Experience with data entry and/or payment posting.
Experience interacting with customers either in person or over the phone.
Ability to open and sort high volumes of mail.
Ability to complete repetitive tasks accurately for the duration of a shift.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Step 2: Minimum Qualification Evaluation: Week of January 27th, 2025
An evaluation of each applicant's training and paid and unpaid experience, as demonstrated in their supplemental questions, weighted 100%.

Additional evaluation may be required prior to establishment of the eligible list and/or final selection.
Step 3: Establishment of Eligible List: February 3rd - February 7th, 2025
Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be placed on the equally ranked eligible list.
Step 4: Selection (Interview): early/mid-February
Hiring bureau will review and select candidates for an interview.
Step 5: Offer of Employment: mid/late February
Candidates will undergo two background checks prior to placement on the job. Please note that minor infractions such as traffic or parking violations would not generally be cause for concern. Decisions regarding potential issues on an individual's record will be made by the Revenue Division Security Officer.
Step 6: Start Date: early March
A start date will be determined after all conditions of employment have been met.
Candidates progressing into employment must successfully pass two background checks to qualify.
