About the team
We are an international team of people located in Czechia, India, and the Philippines, and we work closely with our colleagues in the US.
We are a stable team that expanded from one person to 9 people across 3 locations in the last 9 years.
We started as a team managing networks in physical data centers and a bit of AWS. But now we are managing the network across all the biggest public clouds, which requires a lot of automation tasks.
The word of networking is evaluating, so we are.
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (Network and Network Security) to develop and maintain a functional and secure network. In this role, you should have good problem-solving skills, an understanding of Public Cloud Infrastructure, and expertise in network and Network Security administration.
What you´ll do
Design, build, and operationalize cloud infrastructure/network solutions to support and meet SAP ISBN’s growing needs in the Cloud space.
Gather requirements, review application architectures, and support SAP ISBN business units and application teams developing solutions for GCP, AWS, or AZURE cloud.
Promote and participate in infrastructure automation initiatives such as infrastructure as code and automating cross-functional tasks in the Cloud network area.
Design, configure, implement, and maintain all Network and security platforms and their associated software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, intrusion detection/intrusion prevention, and F5 load balancer.
Owning Cloud network security. Engineering and configuring preventive, detective, and reactive solutions in collaboration with Information Security and Security Architecture teams
Manage all client situations in a professional and courteous business manner with an emphasis on customer satisfaction while keeping the customer abreast of expectations, problem status, and completion in a timely manner.

What you bring
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical/IT field
Relevant Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and network (e.g., Cisco, F5) industry certifications will be an asset.
Minimum of 2 years experience in the Network Security domain.
Excellent communication skills and experience working in a collaborative environment.
Great documentation skills and mindset of design and document first
Knowledge Experience on Public Cloud infrastructure,
Knowledge of Infrastructure as code concepts like Terraform and Automation Technologies like Ansible
Knowledge of security network devices (firewalls, switches, F5, etc.) and other security networking hardware/software tools.
Understanding of information security concepts, standards, and practices, including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion prevention and detection, TCP/IP and related protocols, device monitoring and log management, and event monitoring/reporting
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, access control lists, firewalls, VPN, NAT, and network traffic analysis.
Strong organizational skills and be able to attend to and prioritize projects.
Demonstrable analytical and technical aptitude focusing on identifying and alleviating the root cause of the issue and solving the whole problem.
