We are building the Sovereign Cloud Architecture, Design, and Product dream team in Azure Core! Our global team is dedicated to creating the first truly sovereign cloud product and producing standardizations and innovations to reduce time to market while also improving the quality and security of the new product.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager in Sovereign Clouds you will lead and own the architecture, migration strategy, and work to identify and calibrate the planned workloads in coordination with our cloud partners. You will work across organizations in Azure and M365 to gain a deeper understanding of the individual services and infrastructure that make up Azure Cloud and leverage that knowledge to find ways to increase the speed of deployment while championing quality and security. You will have the opportunity to participate and present to company executives, and you will also have the opportunity to work directly with our external partner teams which will further advance your skills in communication and collaboration. The deep engineering knowledge you will gain will serve you well as you continue to identify areas for improvement and optimization within the current Azure architecture, as well as suggest quality improvements or recommendations for new security features.

Responsibilities
You will partner with Software and Hardware Engineering to design technical solutions across feature areas. You’ll identify risks and propose data-based mitigations.
You’ll define success criteria and create relationships for implementing features for complex cross-functional projects. You’ll coordinate and ensure alignment across organizations.
You will deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation plan, and manage governance programs.
You will drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and writing test cases from scratch. You’ll also lead teams to partner with other departments to collect performance metrics, drive customer support, and lead direct customer engagements.
You will work with the support of the Cloud Solution Architects to demonstrate that the proposed solution solves business need and gains an agreement from the customer on the principles to move forward.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Self-managing leader who takes initiative and has proven ability to solve challenging problems requiring the effort and impact of a diverse cross-team strategy.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of Azure or other cloud platforms.
Experience in cloud-scale solution architecture, software development or delivery.
Success in consultative and/or technical leadership (e.g. architect) and engagement management with sophisticated and complex customers and projects.
