The Sr. Associate, Data Sciences will report directly to the Sr Manager Data Science and Analytics, delivering data science-based solutions in support of the Procurement function.

This dynamic position will focus on insight generation that drives business strategies for procurement. In partnership with the direct manager and peers, the Analyst provides tactical and strategic analytical support to a broad range of organizational groups within the Procurement function, with a portfolio of ongoing supportive duties including, but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the building and optimization of statistical and AI/ML models by identifying valuable data sources and undertaking preprocessing of structured, unstructured, and messy data.

• Applying modeling techniques to build, test, and validate basic models using simpler and cleaner datasets.

• Reviewing model performance per established metrics, documentation, and reporting.

• Learning and upskilling on additional data scripting languages or statistical/mathematical software.

• Integrating methods based on analyses of trends and the competitive landscape to continually improve the organization's BI strategy.

• Helping establish and implement programs and innovative initiatives for the organization to advance Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives.

• Collaborating with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organizations profitability and technical edge, applying market intelligence, risk assessments, and total cost projections.

• Driving continuous improvements in user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency in assigned area of responsibility.

• Supporting development and implementation of automation and AI (Artificial Intelligence) initiatives within assigned area of responsibility.

• Crafting value by developing strong, valuable working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers with a view to pro-actively understand and constructively influence their needs and expectations.

• Understanding and applying Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any bachelor's degree

• Project Management skills in order to be able to balance multiple projects with simultaneous priorities and deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy of reported information. Ability to quickly merge and summarize data/information from multiple sources, including experience in data management, cleaning, data analysis and report writing

• Self-motivated, positive thinker, diligent personality and a collaborative spirit

• Proficiency in Python or R coding language

• Excellent verbal and written communication (English)

Preferred:

• Good understanding of Sourcing and Contracting processes and Source-to-settle operations at a high level

• Shared Services Industry experience

• Fluency in one other language ((written and oral) for the supported region

• Previous exposure or experience in a procurement function
