Director of HR Technology- (ServiceNow) HRSD Tech Product Owner
Type: Full-Time
Hybrid (3 days in-office)
Location: Princeton, New Jersey
Reporting to: Vice President of HR Technology
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of HRSD Technology to lead our ServiceNow HRSD product strategy, delivery, and implementation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ServiceNow HRSD and a proven track record in implementations, combined with the ability to build and execute a product roadmap. This role will ensure seamless integration and collaboration with Workday & other HRIS Tech Product Owners and will partner closely with the ServiceNow platform engineering team, which reports functionally to the ServiceNow VP but collaborates directly with this role for HRSD-related priorities.
This leadership position is critical to transforming our HR service delivery landscape and driving alignment with our overall HR strategy. The Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring HRSD solutions meet organizational needs while delivering seamless, high-impact outcomes for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Product Leadership :
Own ServiceNow HRSD product roadmap , ensuring alignment with HR strategic objectives and business goals.
Define HRSD requirements and collaborate with the ServiceNow engineering team for delivery.
Work closely with HR Operations and HR Tech Product Owners to harmonize roadmaps and ensure seamless integration across platforms.
Oversee integrations between HRSD and other HR systems, such as Workday, SAP, payroll and benefits platforms, ensuring real-time or batch data synchronization as needed
Ensure the platform complies with privacy regulations and internal data governance and security policies
Implementation & Delivery :
Oversee the successful implementation and ongoing enhancements of HRSD solutions, including Case and Knowledge Management, Employee Service Center related to HRSD content & functionality, and Onboarding.
Stewardship over HRSD Knowledge base content
Partner with ServiceNow engineering teams to prioritize and deliver HRSD solutions that meet HR’s needs while adhering to platform standards.
Stakeholder Engagement :
Act as the primary liaison between HR leadership and technology teams, ensuring HR’s needs are harmonized, prioritized, and translated into initiatives, features and stories in the development backlog
Work with the ServiceNow VP to manage resource allocation and resolve prioritization conflicts effectively.
Team and Resource Leadership :
Provide functional leadership to ServiceNow HRSD engineering resources, guiding their efforts on HRSD priorities and deliverables.
Foster collaboration and alignment between HRSD engineers (dotted-line relationship) and the broader ServiceNow engineering organization.
Build and mentor a team of HRSD product specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
Lead engagements with selected 3rd party implementation partners for specific scopes of work, such as development of end-to-end journeys like Employee Onboarding
Governance and Reporting :
Define and monitor KPIs for HRSD adoption, performance, and satisfaction.
Establish and maintain robust governance and escalation processes for HRSD-related work.
Qualifications
Experience :
8+ years of experience in HR Technology, with at least 4 years leading ServiceNow HRSD as Product Owner/Tech Lead/Functional HRSD Architect
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex HR technology projects on time and within budget.
Experience directing offshore development teams and third-party implementation partners is required
Experience integrating HRSD with Workday HCM is highly desirable.
Experience in an organization with multiple Business Units with diverse needs is highly desirable
Experience with multi-country business units and designing solutions that incorporate differences in regulations and business practices across geographies
Experience in Agile methodologies and backlog management in tools like JIRA
Technical Skills :
Expertise in ServiceNow HRSD modules : Case and Knowledge Management, Employee Service Center, Lifecycle Events and Journeys.
Technical knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, data models, and integrations
Strong understanding of HR processes and workflows .
Knowledge of integration protocols (APIs, middleware) between ServiceNow and other systems such as Workday.
Leadership Skills :
Proven track record of driving collaboration across teams with dual or dotted-line reporting structures .
Demonstrated success in aligning technology teams with business and product objectives.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels.
Soft Skills :
Strategic mindset with a focus on delivering value to stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a hybrid working environment (3 days in Princeton office).
Ability to prepare and deliver clear and persuasive executive presentations
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist – HRSD ).
Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies for product development and delivery.
Experience managing HR technology transformations in a complex enterprise environment.

Pay Range: 180000 - 235000
