Available Title(s): 1205-NNADMINPRO - Administrative Manager, 1205-YNADMINPRO - Administrative Manager Business Title: Internal Operations and Administrative Manager Employee Type: Admin. Professional Position Details: Summary of Duties: As the Internal Operations and Administrative Manager, you will serve as the primary financial and administrative officer for Business and Financial Services. You will be responsible for managing the fiscal, budget, administrative and personnel functions for the area, and providing direction, guidance, and leadership in these areas. You will serve as a key advisor to the SAVP on a wide range of fiscal, human resource and operations management issues; directing complex projects and assignments for the SAVP. You will be expected to manage day-to-day internal administration and operations. You will support leadership on current and long-term budget and personnel planning efforts, aligning resource allocation with area strategic goals. You will exercises independent judgment and discretion, including the authority to make decisions that impact department and area operations. Additionally, you will serve as the primary point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external entities. You will serve as a member of the SAVP's senior leadership team and work closely with the SAVP, providing executive-level administrative support and managing special projects on behalf of the SAVP. Required Qualifications: • Positions require a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. • Minimum of one (1) year of experience managing an administrator's complex calendar and providing executive-level support and high quality service for a diverse group of constituents. • Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness. • Experience in maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience and working knowledge with various financial activities, including purchasing, travel, personnel, position, cost analysis, and budget planning. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, co-workers, and constituents. • Experience planning and preparing presentations and communication for external and internal stakeholders, including executive leadership. • Advanced-level experience in word processing, spreadsheet, database, business intelligence, and graphic presentation software packages. • Working knowledge of WSU operations, policies, and procedures. • Knowledge and experience with complex budget/accounting processes. • Experience managing multiple priorities with varying deadlines. • Demonstrated strong analytical skills • Demonstrated self-starter who initiates learning and is resourceful in finding solutions • Effective leadership skills. • Experience working as a team member and working independently.
