As a Delivery Consultant, you will work closely with IBM clients and partners to design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with your clients' goals. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery while leveraging your consultative skills such as problem-solving issue- / hypothesis-based methodologies, communication, and service orientation skills. Required technical and professional expertise

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Database Administrator to manage and optimize databases like Db2, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and IBM Cloud. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in OpenShift, cloud infrastructure, and database administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, monitor, and optimize Db2, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and other databases in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud).

• Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery strategies.

• Automate database deployment, scaling, and maintenance tasks.

• Ensure database security, compliance, and best practices in cloud environments.

• Work with OpenShift for containerized database deployments and orchestration.

• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize queries for efficiency.

• Implement backup and recovery solutions for cloud-hosted databases.

• Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams for seamless database operations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong expertise in managing databases such as Db2, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL in cloud environments.

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and IBM Cloud database services.

• Excellent knowledge of OpenShift, including deploying and managing databases on OpenShift clusters.

• Proficiency in database performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.

• Experience with database security, access controls, and compliance frameworks.

• Scripting and automation skills using Shell scripting, Python, or Terraform.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for cloud database environments.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for database management.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native database services.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.

• Familiarity with data replication, ETL pipelines, and cloud data lakes.

• Certification in AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud database administration.
